Request for information.

 

In order to up- date and expand the late Richard O’Rourke’s book “Some Northamptonshire Brickworks”, Geoffrey Starmer  is looking for information on where bricks from each brickyard were used. If you have any information on buildings in Northamptonshire, or elsewhere, were it is known that locally made bricks were used, please contact Geoffrey.

        Holcot Steam Rally      23rd, 24th, & 25th August

 

        Northamptonshire’s largest working steam rally with working power pulling, road making, sawing, ploughing etc.

West Northamptonshire Development Corporation is looking at proposals to redevelop parts of Northampton. One proposal is to demolish the town Gas Holders. Of the two gas holders the one next to B&Q is probably Victorian, a fine example of a cast iron holder with some nice detail.
